Visit to the Fire Station

Tate had a fun field trip to the Fire Station with his preschool class. Hailey was so excited when she heard Tate was going to the Fire Station that she talked about it for a week before we actually went. So instead of leaving her home with Chad I brought her with. It was neat to see the little faces of the preschool kids light up when the firemen put on all their gear and talked to them about safety. Tate had a lot of fun seeing what the firefighters do to help people in trouble. There was a really neat old fashioned fire truck in the station.
Hailey was a little upset that she couldn't play on the truck, she wanted to drive it.

Winter Fun !!!

For New Years we stayed at our cabin in Brighton. We had to hike up the mountain in the snow to get to the cabin. It was a bit tricky weaving our way through the skiers and snow boarders coming down the slope while carrying all of our belongings, and helping our kids.We made it and had fun warming ourselves by the fire, watching movies, drinking hot chocolate, and enjoyed some sledding in the mountain snow. Tate even tried skiing for the very first time and did great! I hope this will become a yearly tradition.
